Character Creation Rules

Characters start at level 4. You can use content from any published 4th edition Wizards book to create your character. Be advised that races other than human and half-elf are fairly exotic in the part of the land that the initial story takes place in, and will be treated accordingly, with reactions running from open racism to extreme interest.

You are allotted 700 gp to equip your character. You can use that 700 gp to buy equipment from any published 4th Edition Wizards book. You also get a standard riding horse.

Your character comes with a backstory. Generally, your character is down on their luck. How that came to be exactly is up to you. After all, you are level 4: you’ve had some adventures already before coming to the sleepy town of Silver Creek. Perhaps you used to be a rancher? A mercenary just come back from war? A disgraced lawman? The possibilities are virtually endless. If you’re not comfortable coming up with a backstory all by yourself, brainstorm with me. :)
